Ambuj Sahu is a pursuing his PhD in Political Science at Indiana University Bloomington. His dissertation focuses on crisis decision-making and escalation in Sino-Indian border conflict.
His research interests include international security, crisis bargaining and decision-making, India-China relations, India-US relations, and Indian Foreign Policy in the Indo-Pacific. He is proficient in quantitative methods like GIS, social network analysis, applied statistics, quantitative text analysis, and geographic information systems. He is also doing an MS in Applied Statistics.
He holds a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering (2017) from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He was the President's Scholar (2019-20) for pursuing MA in International Relations at South Asian University. In his previous role as Research Associate at the Delhi Policy Group (DPG), he has contributed many projects mandated by high-level government agencies on India's foreign policy in the Indo-Pacific.
His articles have been published in various media outlets like The Times of India, Indian Express, The National Interest (US), The Economic Times, Firstpost, The Print, Swarajya, Observer Research Foundation, Financial Express, and South Asian Voices.
During the summers of 2020, Ambuj created The Bridge Project - a podcast series on academia-policy interactions in International Relations and Indian Foreign Policy.
